right, if you get an r4 card or whatever other names people use for them, you get a card the size of a games cartride, in the games cartridge there is a slot for a mcro sd memory card, put the micro sd card into a usb pen provided, create a folder called games, download games from a million site eg http://ndash.eu/en/?lnk=nds drag and drop the downloaded games onto the sd card, put it back into the games cartridge and choose what game you want to play from the menu on the ds,
i have mates who got one and did it all themselves and they are dumb with electronics, if your in gwangju and get an r4 ill give you 50plus games. |

Instead of R4, get the TT card, Made by the same company, but it supports the high capacity micro SD cards. |
What's the price of the regular R4's?
Hagwonnewbie, I'd like to recommend a game. My gf brought over her niece's DS, and I there was this fun game where you had to interact with the music beats using the pen tool. This involved touching, dragging, spinning, and other various actions. I didn't catch the name though - anyone know it?
Glen, I'd definitely be into the hacks/mods. This seems to be easier with the DS's R4, but the PSP looks like it could be more extensive - someone was talking about running emulators of other systems?! Also, PSP has that nice crisp screen and could watch movies on it. With the right firmware, what movie format can the PSP play? Some potential downsides that I can see for the PSP is using Sony's memory stick, and a lack of fun games. |

Looks really good except won't they be rolling out new technology pretty soon? Not smarter to wait for the next new thing ?

Neither company has made ANY noise about replacing the DS or PSP any time soon. The PSP Slim is still relatively new (less than a year, I think) and the DS seems to be the handheld of choice for the time being with Nintendo. I've seen rumors (nothing at all from Nintendo specifically) that a new DS is coming out, but it would use the same cartridges as the DS Lite, so it's not like your system would be useless if you were to buy one and then they came out with a DS 3. |
