I would like to point out that, even after being presented with evidence of the hyperbole and incompetency of Footprints, Mr. Glickman STILL has not responded to ANY of my well-founded criticisms except to offer the same old, tired line - "Sorry you didn't get a job, and it's your fault if you didn't." At no time is he willing to admit that either he or his company might have made any mistake or even misrepresented the offer made to me. How arrogant is that, ladies and gentlemen? |
He responded to every criticism you gave. He gave details. They have all been deleted, at your request, but there were there for the world to see.
teacherdude, I'm going to give you one important piece of advice that hasn't come up unless I overlooked it: Get another eslcafe.com account and handle, because you are going to catch shit for as long as you post under "teacherdude." Come back, do your research and start anew. |

This thread is all kinds of awesome.
It goes to show that people need to do research about Korea and working in Korea as the system is completely different.
OP, I'm sad you deleted your original post. The part about wanting to sue Footprints was awesome. You should probably research Korean law and the treatment of foreigners by the police in Korea before you come here. No one cares about foreigners here. |
UNLESS......... it's foriegners suing foriegners. For some reason this does seem to be exempt from the "standard" Korean law pratices. I've personally talked to an American that sued another American over use of copyrighted materials and won an injuntcion against them.
Foreigners can REALLY screw over other foriegners in Korea IF they have the legal muscle to do it.
Do not doubt that Koreans view this type of situation as very different than if a Korean party is involved in the litigation. |

Even then, we'll know it's him--can't get away from that type of tone and writing style in all respects...
"teacherdude," sometimes you don't have to get in the last word,
and "VULNERABILITY" is not such a dirty word...
Bond with the crew here, you'll feel a lot better. My message is not to
look down upon you. |

Apparently teacherdude - found the reception to his comments on this site less than welcoming, so he has taken his act to tesall.com. Since he has so helpfully posted his name and e-mail address - you may want to send your opinion to him directly: http://www.tesall.com/international/index.pl?noframes;read=7492 |

Hey Marc-
What do you not understand about a contract being offered on a contingency basis? You were offered a contract, and then your contract offer was rescinded by the offering party. It's really that simple. Anyway, I'm happy to delete my posts if you delete yours, and change the name of this thread to something not derogatory towards our company. Thanks. |
Ben I would leave it as is.
A Google search would bring it up and people can quite easily read it and see that the guy is a nut. |
I agree...it was better to leave things as they are.
A simple search of past Footprints posts shows that Footprints cut a deal to delete posts (information posted by a real teacher about his/her experience w/Footprints) and change the name of the thread ....so that prospective teachers who may want to research Footprints will not be able to find the thread.
Does anyone think that really saves face for Footprints?? |
