Canadians don't get an apostille.

The how depends on where you are from and where you are now.

The short version...

livinseoul.....I'm guessing by your username you are already in Korea.

If so...read the sticky "How to authenticate a background check from within Korea." It's pretty comprehensive and very accurate. I've even recently spoken with Mr. Hale Vancoughnett at the embassy...and he was very helpful and well informed.

If you're Canadian...and currently in Canada...you do not need an apostille...you simply need a Korean Consulate General's notarization.

If you're American...and are currently living in the states...you should call your state's Secretary of State office to obtain information about how to properly obtain a notarization and apostille in your state.

I hope that helps more than who are you and where are you.

Of course you're Irish...I haven't had any Irish applicants this year, and I am admittedly ignorant in the apostille process for Irish citizens.

My best guess...call your respective embassy...there is more than likely a way to obtain a similar affidavit from your embassy.

Good luck!!
