UPDATE*
Reggie is now in new foster care but still needs a forever home!!!

Reggie is a 3 year old mixed-breed from the Daejon shelter. She weighs about 4.5 kilos and has a brown/black/white coat. I have been fostering her since February. When I got her she had a very badly injured right hind leg which required 2 operations to straighten out. She will most likely never recover full use of her leg but you wouldn't be able to tell it by watching her trot around. She is a survivor and just needs to be given a chance and some love.
I have already permanently adopted another Daejon rescue and cannot keep Reggie. Now that her operations are complete and she is on the mend it is time to find her someone who has the patience and compassion to care for a sweet little dog with three perfectly healthy legs.
Reggie loves to cuddle and give kisses. She is a bit nervous around new people but she warms up pretty quickly. She is extremely affectionate and has gotten on well with my other dog. She has had no other health issues but has not yet been spayed...the leg operations were urgently needed. She has had her shots and I have the documentation which will make it easier to travel with her.
If you would like to know more about Reggie or see more pictures, please email me at [email protected].

Thanks so much for the pics! And yes, she really is adorable. I wish I could keep her, but it's just not feasible for me to keep two dogs right now.

Reggie is still adorable and still available if anyone is interested in helping out this sweet little survivor.

You are an irresponsible twit for getting a pet just to feed your self-absorbtion and to be able to say, "Awwwww....how cuuuute!!!"

Grow up.

I asked my Ss in 4 different classes today if they thought this dog was cute and not one answered yes. Although, 1 student said "so,so" and another reckoned it would make a decent, if not large, boshington. Very Happy

He must be a troll...Jen has been fostering Reggie in order to save her life...nothing to do with cuteness or self-absorbtion.

I've met Reggie and she has a beautiful character, very serene.

just to clarify:

when I got Reggie, it was with the full intention just to FOSTER her. I had already adopted a dog from the Daejon shelter which is being forced to close and knew that I could not make the life-long commitment to another. The dogs that are left there when the shelter finally does close will be sent to kill shelters. When I saw Reggie there and saw how badly her leg was injured, I figured she would be one of the dogs left at the end. I took her home to see what could be done for her leg. Two amazing doctors at the Mari Animal Clinic in Hongdae donated 7 1/2 hours of their time for the first surgery and then 3 more for the second. We are all just doing our best to give this dog a chance at life after someone let her injury go unattended. I was never intending to adopt her, but help her find a caring home. I would keep her until I did find a permanent home for her but now I am being forced out of mine so I am left with no other options.
This is about compassion for helpless animals who are put in terrible positions because of careless people, not about feeding any "self absorbtion".

No need to defend yourself. Even if the little guy got a month longer lease, that is a blessing.

I wish I could help...guess I will just bump this up.

Best of luck.
