The teachers in my grade went to a movie last week. I was told the movie was "Kung Fu Panda" so I went. I noticed two female teachers were missing. Asked why. A female teacher told me, They are seeing "Sex & the City." I said, I'd rather see that, let's go to that. She said, No! I want to see it only with women! I related this to my co-teacher, who said she wouldn't want to see it with men, because there are sexual scenes.

I immediately concluded this was a cultural difference, since I don't think any of my female friends at home would have such a concern. But I'm older, and my friends tend to match my demographic & outlook on life. So I wonder if it is really a cultural difference. Would the women here be concerned about seeing this movie (or any movie with notable sexual scenes) with men?

I haven't seen the movie but the women might feel more comfortable laughing at jokes or watching sexual scenes without a man next to them. I guess they could feel more self-conscious and might not enjoy the movie fully.

I watched a movie by myself for the first time last year. I was surprised at how much more comfortable I felt watching a movie alone. I could choose to watch any movie I wanted to. I didn't have to worry about whether my partner was enjoying the movie or not.

You're talking about in the theatre, right? You don't mean you haven't watched a movie alone in the last year *period*, do you?

You actually wanted to see Sex in the City? Dearie dearie me. Personally it's not a movie I'm interested in so I wouldn't be taking anyone to see it, male or female.

Using a different movie with the same question, nope I'd have no problem sitting through a movie with notable sex scenes with guys. There seem to be very few movies these days that don't have sex scenes in them, so if it was an issue for you you'd never be going to the cinema with anyone of the opposite sex.

It was a choice between that and Kung Fu Panda. I'm not into cartoons, and I've never even seen the Sex & City TV show, so I was curious about the buzz. Is it bad?

Please hand in your cock and balls at the nearest police station - you have invalidated your entitlement to them.

Since most of the ladies in that show are pretty homely it would make your date look good.

Lots of K women won't use tampons or go on the pill cause it's bad so I can understand that they'd feel shy what not

For me, hells no. I'd only feel that way if I was with my dad. Definately would not watch the movie with him.

If he wanted to sure why not, but I would never suggest to a guy, hey we should go see that.

I watched every episode of the show with a dude, but I was the manly one in that relationship.
