I was wearing a kilt on Saturday for my brother's wedding. They're very comfortable and surprisingly warm on a blustery Scottish day. I don't think I'll take my kilt to Korea with me though.
Here's a quick kilt story.
A Scotsman who is working down in England goes out for a drink one Friday. In typical Scots fashion, he staggers out of the pub at closing time and falls into a drunken sleep by the side of the road.
The next morning, two English maidens (if such a thing exists) spy him.
"I wonder if it's true what they say about what a Scotsman wears beneath his kilt?" says the first.
"Let's see" says her friend.
Very carefuly they lift his kilt, taking care not to wake him.
"It's like a babies arm hanging out of the pram!"
"It's like a Highland caber!"
They gaze in admiration for a few minutes then one takes the yellow ribbon from her hair. "Let's leave him a present" she says.
Dexterously, they manage to tie the ribbon around the base of his member without causing him to wake from his slumber, and they both go on their way giggling to each other.
Eventually the Scotsman wakes up and, feeling nature call, staggers to a bush and whips up his kilt to relieve himself. Looking down, he gives a start of surprise and cries "I don't know where you've been lad, but I see you won first prize!" |

Both grandparents from Scotland.....absolutely! A kilt is a necessary wardrobe item and most comfortable. Also my home is in Sri Lanka and the sarong is (as the kilt) wonderfully comfortable but wearing it out in town is becoming less fashionable. The idea of separate coverings for both legs connected with a penile catching "zip" is really kind of silly in my humble free ranging opinion. |

We had a kilted pre-wedding blessing in Scotland, and I brought a kilt to Korea for marrying in October.
Everyone loved it, and it really made for an international wedding.
It is warm and so comfortable, but I don't think I would wear it again: I don't think I will have occasion again. |

Sorry boys, only real men can wear the kilt. Sasanaks need not apply. |

Kilts, sarongs, manskirst they all rock. Those with balls where'em, those who are afraid of being called "gay" (what is this, fourth grade?) don't.
Go here to see some bitchin' kilts:

Looks like they are marketing it to welders and tattoo-wearing guys.
Utilikilts, Utility Kilts. Hmmm.
I can see a kilt in a club, but I can't see wearing one while welding together heavy machinery. |

I like the house dresses that moms are wearing when I come over to teach their kids. When the turkey's done I really like them.
I need to get one of those. I tried to get my wife to buy me one but she wouldn't do it. Damn closed minded b.......! |

A friend of mine got married back in early-2000 and the theme was "Scottish countryside"......it was nice........however, I couldn't find someone who had a kilt (or even pleaded skirt) in my size so I could participate in the wedding (I actually was going to be one of the best men)......anyway, the groom, being a good friend that he is, lent me one of his----- ...........It was like wearing a tight pleaded mini-skirt with knee-high socks........I couldn't wear it through the reception, only for the photos (and being how tall I am, I was lucky to be able to hide behind the large group during the wedding photo or else I'd look like a slut).......
I think kilts are cool for those that can get away with wearing them......but for people like me......forget it!!!!

The only time and only way I would consider wearing a kilt would be on Halloween as my costume, so chicks at bars would be asking if dudes wear anything underneath. I think it would be a good way to get em wet, wild, and crazy. |

My best friend in high school was really proud of his Scottish heritage. So proud that for the senior prom he actually ordered a kilt from Scotland displaying his Father's clan pattern/plaid design on the kilt. It was hillarious. he was freeballing the entire time. |

I had a friend (who got me arrested once) who was a Celtic Harper. He had to wear a kilt to work. How strange. |
