Anyone read this article in the Chosun Ilbo?

http://english.chosun.com/w21data/html/news/200806/200806130024.html

I thought it was probably the Korean Cattle Association making a last ditch effort to monopolize the beef trade, but it's those pesky North Koreans. Very clever!

One of our engineers here at my company did a presentation (in English) about this two days ago. He had pictures of the leaders - they're the same guys who led the protests back in 2002 about the US Army tank that ran over the girls, the same guys that led the protests about the Army bases and government buying land down in Pyontek, the same guys that lead just about every protest since 1995. He had their pics in each of the protests, with them standing up there reading scripts. He made the point that they likely had NK or communist sympathies.

I'll post the pics of the guys as soon as I can get a copy of the powerpoint. He got it from a Korean website.

I called this from the beginning too, but my Korean friends told me I was wrong.

Damn I want evidence of this, more than an editorial from the Chosun Ilbo.

They are the very people who took this country backwards and divided the people by siding with Roh shouting anti-American and pro-North Korean slogans. And these people, who had been chased away by the public, are now using the crisis facing the Lee administration and hiding behind the mad cow scare to agitate others and calling on them to storm the presidential compound. The public needs to see the true faces of these people who are hiding behind a mask.

ROK Drop has more on this: http://rokdrop.com/2008/06/16/anti-us-groups-linked-to-beef-protests/

He's got quite a bit of information on his site about the factions leading the way on all of this.

This has been the underlying thread connecting everything from the beginning. Now the Seoul City Government is trying to figure out how they can reclaim the civic area so they can host the real events which were scheduled before the communist sympathizers began their vigil.

I mentioned it before, if the Pro-NK people don't like it here, all they have to do is hop on the bus or train that goes north and take up their new life under the leadership of KJI. They don't and you know why? It's because they want to pollute the thinking of "free people" with their lies and deception. What a shame that they are doing this and you know is being taught to hate and distrust the freedoms they currently have? The children that are being taken to these demonstrations so they can learn first hand how to hate and cause trouble.

The article isn't saying that pro-North Koreans orchestrated the protests. However, I think Left wing groups spread disinformation, and they do have more favorable views of North Korea, so there is some truth to that. The Koreans who went protesting were serving the Korean Left if they are not part of the Left, because they would be the ones gaining by lying to the people about the fears of mad cow disease and exaggerating things.

It's a well-known fact that pro-North Korean, pro-Marxist, anti-American agents have held influential positions in the far left Democratic Labor Party and various labor unions - most notably the Korean Teachers Union.

Although the other main teachers union (the Korean Federation of Teachers Associations) has many more members, the KTU reportedly has a much bigger budget than it - and all the other labor unions in Korea combined.

It's been responsible for much "virulently anti-American" propaganda written in school textbooks, and it no doubt puts a rabble-rousing anti-American spin on every issue it can.

Here's an older article on them:
http://freekorea.us/2005/11/07/the-excesses-of-an-extremist-south-korean-teachers-union-force-the-government-into-action-3

Here's what these "educators" look like (no wonder intelligent Koreans want to get their educations somewhere else...)
