Never leave? You're not THAT dumb, are you?
Quit your fricking whining. Dave's is only 10% complaining. 80% laughing at the idiocy, and 10% who are stupid enough to think everything is just swell. (yes, yes. life is unbelievably easy for white men in Korea. I just don't think that is enough to praise this hole)
As for the OP.....
- never eaten live octopus
- never sang in a singing room
- never drank all the piss they have here
- never cooked my own food at a restaurant
- never been to a sauna
- never had a child put their fingers up my arse
- never worn a T-Shirt to work in December
- never drank in a bar until the sun came up
- never had so many women approach me in a bar/club
- never been married
- never had a kid
- never realized how lucky I was to be from the West.
- never used a board like this

- never thought twice before sleeping in a closed room with a fan turned on
- never used scissors to cut meat
- never sat a dinner table with a roll of toilet paper at one end
- never spat in an ashtray
- never eaten a sea urchin with my hands, like eating an apple
- never thought I would have stayed here as long as I have
- never have seen so many freaks and losers gathered in one spot who claim to be university educated |

I came here 3 years ago. I was 23. I had never:
- owned a cell phone
- sent or received a text message
- used wireless internet
- owned a digital camera
- lived in my own apartment (dorms in university)
- stayed out until 6 am (bars at home close at 2 am)
- lived in a city with a subway
- gone hiking up a mountain
- been fired
- been asked if I'm gay at a job interview
- paid $100 for a month's gym membership
- seen sweet potato and sour cream on a pizza
- not tipped in a restaurant
- had an Asian girlfriend
- read Ayn Rand's The Fountainhead (better late than never; that book changed my life) |

Before going to Korea, I had never:
- been surprised when the Budweiser cap wouldn't screw off (1st night in Korea)
- taught English (2nd day in Korea)
Having lived part-time with a Korean girlfriend in America and gone to some massage parlors when I was younger, Korea isn't very different than America for me. |

never owned a motorcycle, now I have three....I'm addicted
never had a cell phone
never ate squid, now I like it
never copulated with a girl other than a Canadian born and bred for at least 2 generations (Euro decent) - now I wonder why I wasn't trying to tap this untapped resource so long ago
thought yellow fever was weird - now I know exactly what it means and I love it, yellow fever, latina fever, nubian fever, curry fever.....ahhh the women of the world are so darn pretty and come with such interesting culture!!!!
I thought I wasn't a racist and that it was only white people who were racist....god was I wrong....messed up little world and I unfortunately seem to have grown to understand how such racial prejudice exists!!! Perhaps I should call it Geo cultural understanding of things that I don't like and think might be better fixed....I don't know.
I had clean lungs - now I have dirty lungs
I wasn't married and had no intention of doin so - my slant eyed princess has stolen my heart and I think mixed kids are the coolest thing on earth
I hated my damn white skin and wished I was born Italian like my bronze skinned childhood best friend who always made me feel like a pasty freak who needed to hide from the sun....this hasn't changed |
