CBC News: Feet Washing up on Vancouver Coastline

5 feet from different people and over several months keep washing ashore near vancouver. feet were found still in the sock and shoe. also the feet might not even be from people who were from B.C.. the parts could have run on the flowing ocean currents from Asia / Alaska. wonder if anyone had a hand in these deaths or if a plane / boat went down and the feet are now as a result of decmposition detachinig from the bodies. hope the cops in vancouver can put in some good 'ol fashion foot work and get to the sole of the cause behind the floating body parts.

anyone having read this story kicking around any theories yet on what might be the cause?

I heard it's either...

1) 2006 Tsunami floaters whose feet were made bouyant by their running shoes. Presumably their bodies fell apart after several months and it's only the feet that still float. Notice all of the feet were wearing running shoes.

2) Gangland slayings and dumped bodies.

3) a serial killer who watched 'Dexter' rather too much and doesn't own a pig farm.

4) New extreme weight-loss method.

5) Drowned fishermen.

I'd go with 1) or 5).

Interestingly, a Plane crash 3 years ago with 4 victims. I hadn't heard or read about this. for some reason, the prolice or govt. got cold feet and never attempted to recover the plane or the bodies - probably didn't want to foot the bill for the rescue effort, cheap basterds!!!

The article is here:
Plane crash Victims' DNA Examined to Explain Feet. the province should at least try and recover the airplane with the bodies inside rather than dragging their heels on the matter - these are somoene's loved ones. if the victims were members of my family, i'd be going toe to toe with the government over recovering the plane and victims' bodies -even if it cost me an arm and a leg to get them to do it. that being said, a lot of people over the years have gone missing in the georgia straight area, and not to mention in other countries - fishermen, boaters, swimmers, etc. .

They've already started this investigation off on the wrong foot. In order for them to get some quick answers, they're really going to have to put their best foot forward, or else they're screwed. Unless something lands at their feet explaining what sort of game is afoot here, they may just end up having to wait for the other shoe to drop.

Yup, the feds really must dig their toes in. They might get ahead yet.

Can't help but be slightly amused by it all...I guess I'm just a heel.
