I like shopping. Especially for myself, or gifts for my wife.
I hate shopping for groceries though, and Home Plus on a Sunday afternoon makes me want to explode, and scream, and push.
I come from a small town, and the only busy time for shopping is Christmas. I know Christmas is approaching here, but always it is the same.
Carts, being bumped, the noise, people getting in my way. AHHHHH!!!!!
I try to stay calm. |

Get used to the crowds, no use getting worked up with it. I love the crowds, the high population densities. This is one reason everything is right in most neighborhoods, economies of scale. The point of being upset about it is moot. |

Shopping can be an assault course. Until you learn to;
1)brushoff, ignore, wave away pushy sales assistants.
2) Think nothing of pushing your trolley through a crowd, pushing your way through people in the way.
3)Be assertive with purchasing exactly what it is you want. |

Hint DONT shop on Sundays. Seriously, I refuse to go shopping on a Sunday as that is when 90% of the other people are there and I can't stand spending 20mins to get a parking space, then 20mins getting out of the parking garage. Not to mention the chaos inside.
I'd suggest Monday or Tuesdays to go shopping. You can't work all 12hrs most of these places are open, so go before or after work. |

Hint number two: Don't get aggravated by things that are completely out of your control.... |

It's all about when you go. I learned early on what time was right for shopping. Now and then I would make the error of going to Carrefour after 12 on a Saturday, but each time would remind me to avoid that time (which I would do for several more months).
If you go on a Saturday morning, around 9ish, you shouldn't have any problems. The store may still seem busy compared to what you are used to in your hometown, but it shouldn't be as hectic as after lunch.
Essentially, going to the store on the weekends means going in the mornings in order to avoid big crowds. |

The other customers don't bother me so much as pushy sales people.
Supermarkets are okay, but department stores are maddening. In fact, all clothing stores are maddening. The workers stand right in your way, directly in front of the clothes.
Get yer arse out of my way! |
