Hey guys,
I was wondering if any of you had bought a mac in Seoul, and if so, where would you recommend buying one?

Would YongSan have them? How about COEX?

Also, for those of you who bought a computer here, was the OS in Korean or could you get an English one?

I appreciate your time, and thank you in advance.

Daniel

there are official Mac dealers in seoul.

There is one in COEX, but it's not an actual Mac store. there are a couple of Mac re-sellers that deal in new stuff too.

there are official mac stores, the only one i know of is on Gangnam-Ro, just north of Sinsa station (orange line) on the east side of the street. couldn't possibly tell you which exit to go out though.

Uberscheisse, Hogwonguy1979,
thanks for your replies. They are a bit pricier compared to PCs, but I'm a Mac guy, and to each his own Wink

there is an official re-seller in Myeong-Dong as well, on a side street near Coldstone Creamery.

i'm a hardcore Mac addict, and i'm sad in PC land. i could never switch back!

Buy it by phone.
You can take advantage of a 10% 'educators' discount. Free delivery. Go to the Apple website, and get the number to call within Korea.
They speak English.

Thanks a lot guys,
I really appreciate it. I'll probably do it by phone if I can get a discount.
