Anyone been here. What an awesome place. Reminded me of the old Frank Zappa tune about "Movin to Montana soon,," ...something about raising dental floss and a saloon.
I also see why the Unabomber chose to call it home.
Seiously the most awesome landscapes I have maybe ever seen. |

How many people can tell me where Montana is on this map, don't lie
And if you know where it is, what's is the state capitol??
I would say 90% of this board do not know the answer to both questions, including myself |

too easy, Helena.
If you were to ask what is the name of the largest oil find - billions of gallons - in the 48 States that is found in Montana | North Dakota, that would be more of a challenge. |

How about the world's largest copper mine?
And from what movie is this quotation? "I would have liked to have seen Montana." |

I"m in Montana now.
It snowed last week and be got about 1/2 a foot where I live.
Now, it is 80 degrees, very little humidity and not a cloud in the sky.
From where I'm at, I have a view of Glacier National Park, the Swan Mountains and the Mission Mountains beyond that.

| I wanna own a ranch in Montana someday. I'll wait for the economy to go down the toilet and property values to bottom out and hopefully get it for a steal. |

| Having grown up in eastern Washington, I know Montana all too well. I have quite a bit of family in and around the region. Truly an awesome place to live, if you are an outdoorsy type. I always hear, Wild Montana Skies, by John Denver whenever I visit Big Sky Country. |

I spent a summer next to Gardiner, Montana (actually I was 5 miles into Yellowstone National Park at Mammoth Hot Springs.
We'd often drive to Livingston (which I like), other times to Bozeman (which I love!) and occassionally to Billings (the biggest cowtown city I've ever seen in my life!).
Everywhere it's beautiful though. I like the mountain towns the best. Bozeman, Missoula, Livinston, etc. |
