Four weeks away till G day from Royal Roads University. Soon to be home of Robert Bateman's collection in a building that will be built specifically to house his works of art. The building is being designed to be off the grid and completely self sustaining.

There was a thread recently with Hatley Castle pictured; it's the centrepiece of our campus and the only university set on a National Historic site.

Geez. Don't ever ask a man where he's from. If he's from Texas, he'll tell you. Otherwise, for God's sake, don't embarrass the man!

B/A (Hons) Dip. ed. The Uni of Newcastle, Australia.
PhD. The Uni of the Sunshine Coast, Australia.

I come from a working class family, where nobody gave a shat about education. I'm the only one of six kids to finish high school. Somebody forget to tell me about uni ranings. I just went where I wanted to study. For my doctorate, I chose my supervisor, and then went to his school. The most important thing is that you are true to your passion, not what "rank" you think you might be. That's simply ego stuff. I have always stayed true to that firm belief.
