what kind of phone do you have?
i am coming to korea in a few months and one of the things i worry about is the ability to get a great phone. for me, great = touchscreen and smartphone...which means it can sms, send and receive email, touch screen, add apps, etc....
what do you think my odds are of finding such a phone there? |

Mine restarts itself every Thursday at 14:30.
Sometimes for kicks, it turns itself off. |

It lets me make and receive phone calls and text letters. What else do I need out of a cell phone?

Mine has a tremendous amount of lint that has accumulated over the years. Probably enough for creating a knit shirt top button cover. |

When I choose to call someone from my "Saved Names" list, it randomly calls another person from my list. Also, if I am on the phone and someone calls me, the person whos calling me just comes into the conversation making it a 3-way call. |

Hmm, what interesting things can my Korean cell phone do?
For starters, it makes me wonder why LG is selling the same phone (Viewty) with much better user interface and functionality to overseas customers (UK), whilst levaing Korean customers stuck with lousy graphics and reduced functionality. That's definitely interesting.
Second, it has changed my perception of Koreans being at an advantage when it comes to cutting edge technology and services (that is achieved in tandem with other LG hardware, e.g LCD TV). That too I find interesting.
I also find it interesting that I have never felt being let down by a piece of technology that much before. I really want to be able to use any of my other non-Korean phones here.
Most interesting that I have discovered the most useless text input method ever for web surfing (an overlay keyboard that cannot be switched from Korean to Latin characters or numbers).
I guess otherwise the phone can do whatever the OP's phone does, if only there were a way to access this functionality without going to Korean websites in tiny tiny letters.
Okay, I guess this was more of a rant than a listing of features |

Mine wakes me up every morning and has a map of the Seoul subway (And daegu, and daejeon, and busan)! It also has Sudoku and funny picture overlays. |
