I posted this before, but can't find it....
Has anyone had a Filipino friend visit Seoul? I heard that someone here has to invite them. Who knows the procedure? |

It's very difficult because Filipino's have a bad habit of coming and then looking for work. I was told by my first boss that it would be nearly impossible for my then fiancee to get a tourist VISA even if I invited her.
She is with me here now but we are married. I have heard stories of K-immi demanding bank accounts with proof that the applicant has a buttload of cash in a home account before they grant the VISA. I've also heard of others being barred entry from immigration once they got to Incheon and were forced to return to the Philippines.
I am assuming that the other person is a romantic interest. Your best bet would be to go and visit them and see how things go first. You can try of course but I have no knowledge of anyone having much success of getting a Filipina a tourist VISA. |
