So I'm leaving for my yearlong adventure in Korea tommorrow....

All packed, slightly nervous, and pretty excited overall

Any last minute advice?

I'm very much looking forward to the 17 hour flight.... HA Laughing

don't put any money in your check in baggage, the guy who came to my school from the u.s (on saturday) had $500 taken out of his bag when he was travelling.

apart from that, enjoy yourself, relax, and remember not to take offense to things easily, it's a good place to be for a year or two, but if you compain about things instead of embracing them then it will be the worst year of your life.

oh and pop at least 200 sleeping tablets for the flight.

good luck over here

Me and the Army guy next to me got unlimited heinekens on the flight, in economy class. Probably a bad idea. But it's an option.

Why aren't your drunk and hanging with friends and family. You'll have plenty of time for the Internet later at your job.

Teaching ESL in Korea can be a lot of fun. Don't let these eggheads get you down. Just stay positive--and things will go great.

Remember, for every bitter person on Dave's there are tonnes of foreign teachers who aren't bitter and hence, don't have the need to make an account here.

If you get free tiny bottles of wine on the flight, save a couple and give them to your boss. They'll really like that!

Good point indeed. I was drunk and partying with friends all weekend...

My last day at my job here is today, so I'm closing down shop and "working" i.e. playing on the internet for another hour

Me in coach and Heineken could get pretty interesting

I suggest bringing several pounds of US Beef Jerkey and passing it out to all of your students and Director. Don't tell them until after they eat it what it was. Then just say with a wink, "Tick tock...tick tock..."
