| It's not too hard to boot from a flash drive or what have you, but if you're not familiar with linux you can just burn a live CD and boot from that. Fairly idiot-proof. |

| So which solutions did you try and how did they work? |

Well, basically nothing worked. Then, when I went with my coworkers to a PC bang on Monday night I was kind of rushed out the door and forrgot my USB drive so I just set up an auto-responder.
I tried Cosmopod.com, but that wouldn't even run right on the computers here.
The thing that sucks is I had other wok to do via e-mail that couldn't ge done because of this situation.
I cornered one of the women that are coordinating this visit and said told them I wasn't happy with the whole situation and we should have known ahead of time.
It didn't really accomplish anything, of course, but I didn't really expect that it would. Anyway, back in Seoul tomorrow night. |

I used to have this problem at an office I worked at last year. A great workaround to this is to use a mobile browser.. that is, a browser meant to be used on mobile phones. I wish I still had the link to the one I used to use, because I was able to access pretty much anything.. it was just scaled down and simplified (because was meant to be used on small screens).
Here's a similar one from google: http://www.google.com/xhtml
Hope this helps... |
