Assuming the Gyopo is here on an F-4, I think that you can get an F-3, but that doesn't do anything for work, it's just a residence VISA. I may have the number wrong though.
You won't get any benefits for employment like the F-2 for marrying a Gyopo, and why would you? You're married to a foreigner, why should it matter?

I wonder if I could marry a Korean national and get one of these F visas.
Could I then:
1. legally work at a second job without permission ?
2. avoid having to jump through any visa hoops imposed on E-2 holders? |

1. YES - well sort of yes... you need your wife's permission instead of immi.
2. YES - well sort of yes... Different hoops but hoops just the same.

If you are married to an F-4 holder then you can get an F-3 visa (so can the spouse of an F-2) but you cannot work with an F-3. |

umm.. please don't kill me but "gyopo" is someone who has a Korean parent and was born and is a citizen of another country, right?
does it have to be parents? can it be grandparents? how far back are they credited with being some kind of Korean? I ask because I'm dating a Russian girl who apparently has some Korean heritage |

Thanks for the info.
I, a guy not attracted to white women one iota, believe it's time to start looking for a Korean nurse. Think of the benefits. I get to work here until she's ready to go back to the USA with me, and when she goes back with me, she can actually WORK and support herself on a decent salary. Even immigrant nurses, especially those with PhDs and MSs, nail down pretty good salaries in the States.
Klinger had the right idea, did he not? |
