Well don't go that far. Always keep a healthy sense of skepticism. There are agenda's from all sides.

kennedy was not left at all. And being left has to do with raising taxes on rich corporations that sometimes get away with 100% write-offs on 100% of taxes (look at the past three decades). He advocated economic war with Cuba, the burning of IndoChina, and the genocide of the Vietnamese. There was a coup by LBJ and a different clique of conservatives who were a little more dangerous than JFK himself was. He used flimsy, vacuous rhetoric much the way RFK did and Obama does today.

And as far as this racist garbage about Koreans being nuts. Get a fucking brain. Many places have protests. Do you remember the 60s? This is democracy in action. When you have a bourgeois election where most people don't want to bother voting between a bunch of conservatives, they act out like this.

Too left-leaning? Sorry that leftism is reality. There is no mystical "rational" center of the spectrum that is "just right." Left wing politics are the only thing that can save the world. Global warming for example: under free trade, it's cheaper to ship goods to China and back to be assembled than it would be to produce them domestically. Green capitalism my ass. Foreign investment is not good either. It really means foreign ownership and the enrichment of some local cronies. There are the right-wing interests of the rich who want to get rich through ownership, and ordering the production of products no one needs, ordering the production of goods that are designed to break (iPods for example). On the other hand there are the left-wing interests of workers who care about public education, public health, social security, unionism, a meaningful say in their lives, and just rewards for their work and some meaningful say in what they produce and for whom.

And the WTO? The WTO is opposed by people the world over for its bypassing of local sovereignty, labor, and environmental laws. It's about as popular as the Constitution was for PEOPLE in the 13 states back in the 1780s (read: not at all popular).

But no, continue with the elitist, racist comments. Why can't these gooks just stay inside and be good boys and girls while the rich and the US and the various American, Euro, and Japanese transnationals call the shots.

Do some research on your home nation you hypocrites. Mad cow is in a lot of our beef, and the USDA prevents proper inspection the same way the EPA is neutered by Bush and denies global warming. Wake up, people. The Koreans have a better tradition of anti-authoritarianism than Westerners do as far as the last few decades are concerned. Maybe the kids at Gwangju should have stayed inside while dictators ruled the country. Who knows, maybe it would have changed all by itself. I must just be some Stalinist idiot, so don't bother trying to convince I'm wrong. OR I could be well read and know about success stories of left-wing anarchism that imperialist armies destroyed and covered up in the textbooks. I think the NYtimes and the Associated Press could some cynical correspondents. Better yet just get a job at Chosun-ilbo.

I think somebody had a very one sided edamacation. How many months out of your undergrad are you? 1? 2? Maybe now that you've left Canada, you can head out to some "left" or "reality" nations. Hell, you can head up to left-land in Pyongyang for a mere 2k. You can compare South and North Korea. Then compare Hong Kong/Singapore/Taiwan and China. Another good one is Singapore and Cuba. Actually, East and West Germany still make for some good lessons to lefttards.

Re: the part I bolded. I don't have the time to go point by point through your whole idiotic rant but this part was the most idiotic. There was an election that Lee won not 6 months ago. He won it clear. The little lefties got pissy about losing and whipped the country into a hysteria so as to try and overturn an election. This isn't democracy, but an attempt to overturn democracy by emotive mob rule.

Maybe it was such a good hoax that they fooled the Astronauts into thinking they landed on the moon . . . . . . . .
