Carly Fiorina has been floated in some sources as a potential Vice President in a McCain administration.

Highly dubious about this one. Highly.

Given McCain's age, it is fair to expect him to choose a VeeP who could take over if necessary (they all should, but especially in McCain's case). She not a politician. She has no experience in either the legislature or the executive branch. If he picks a woman or an ethnic minority, won't it look like he's being PC?

I also highly doubt it. Fiorina has said she may run for office someday.

Was age a factor in these deaths in office?

William Henry Harrison, April 4, 1841, age 68

Zachary Taylor, July 9, 1850, age 66

Abraham Lincoln, April 15, 1865, age 56

James Abram Garfield, September 19, 1881, age 50

William McKinley, Jr., September 14, 1901, age 58

Warren Gamaliel Harding, August 2, 1923, age 57

Franklin Delano Roosevelt, April 12, 1945, age 63

John Fitzgerald Kennedy, November 22, 1963, 46

No president over the age of 68 has ever died in office.

No, in 4 of the 8 cases listed, a bullet was the determining factor. Confused That does not strengthen your point.

I've posted several times that I don't think someone should vote against McCain on the basis of his age, but I also believe a person is entitled to take his age into consideration.

That aside, what are this woman's qualifications for the job? Just that she's a woman and McCain 'needs' to select someone to make the ticket look progressive?
