i have a fairly cheap ex hd that i keep my movies, pics, music and other stuff on. Right now It is hooked up to my pc but I want to get a mac. Will I be able to just plug the hd into the mac and be able to watch my movies, listen to my music ecetera?

Nope, you'll need a "Mac" converter box. Very Happy

Depends if its in NTFS or FAT32. Id guess NTFS, means youll have to change the file structure to use FAT32 instead.
