I'll have to get a new passport while in korea
how does that effect my visa.
Do I have to get a new one for my new visa, or carry around my old passport?
If I don't how does it work if I want to come back in? |

You'll need to carry around the old passport for as long as the visa is current. The visa is what immigration has record of, etc. |

When you get your new passport you are required by law to report said change to the immigration office within 2 weeks of the event. IF you are a little late, no worry since you also have an ARC.
When you register your changed passport they will move your re-entry stamp to your new passport. Your visa is no longer relevant because it has been used (unless you are American AND have a multi-entry visa).
There is NO charge for this. Just fill in the application form and tick the box at the top that says change of information.
