My place is usually really quiet, despite being in the centre of Seoul. But right now, as I write this, there are a couple of ajummas screaming across the road at each other. I don't understand Korean, so I'm not sure if they're having a row or just an excited conversation.

What can I yell out of the window to tell them to shut the f.u.c.k up? You have to try to transliterate into English because my reading of Korean is about 50% at best.

Just ignore them. They'll stop. That apparently is the Korean way. Ignore it, it will go away. Screaming, it will go away. Common cold, it will go away. Cancer, it will go away. Screaming Ajummas, ignore them and they will go away. Hope that helps.

actually, there is something that you yell at them---I mean, a standard phrase that means "let me have some rest" and "enough!" "enough" is "sukelo!" or something like that. I hear teachers yelling it at students as well...it's a universal "enough!".
I second the advice above: ask your Korean friend. He or she will tell you and then you too can yell out the window when you've just had "enough".

I just say whatever - excuse me - hello - and when they look, I put my hands over my ears in the universal "it's too loud" sign - it works every time, even bongo trucks respect it. usually I receive an "I'm sorry" in reply.
