I'm leaving Korea in 2 weeks, but I'm coming back in the Fall. Does anyone know if I can leave my bank account open, since my alien card will obviously be expiring when I leave? The exchange rate is so horrible right now, I'd rather let the money sit here if possible.
Thanks!

I did just that - I came back to find it all accessible - if you leave some money in you should be fine. |

Yes, you can leave it open. Just leave 1000 won in it.
It will be there and ready for you when you return. |

^ What about internet banking?
If the security certificate runs out every year and you need an ARC card to get a new one how does one keep their internet banking going? |

Just go to the bank's website and there's an option to renew your security certificate. |

I have heard both:
You get a new #
You get the same #
I will find out when I get my new ARC |

I keep renewing my internet banking each year and don't have to bother about an ARC Card. Just renew online and launder that money. |
