I got this MOU from a camp job offer.

I normally get contracts from job offers and I've heard about people getting burned at camps before.

Is sending/signing a MOU a way of escaping any legal obligation to pay the employee at the end of camp?

LOL I'm sure I come off as so suspecting, but this is Korea, stuff happens.

Would like to hear from other helpful teachers who know about MOUs

sounds like they've been screwing teachers before so badly they had a lawyer draw up their contract

hmmm sounds like a big red flag

who is the camp with?

I signed a contract once and then asked some q's and they canceled my contract!!

really, there is a contract posting option on this forum, how about using it if you really have doubts?

I'd use a 'stronger' word than "stuff". Wink
