But. Does it really interest you if someone tells you everytime they break wind or everytime they eat a bowl of kimchi?

I know it doesn't interest me, so, you may say that I shouldn't be reading all the posts on daves. However. Sometimes people do have relevant things to air and vent on this site. I read it for them, not to listen how boring people's lives are or how they are incapable of filling their time in Korea.

No, I'm with Toby. Perhaps the method of his saying so was assholistic, but the message is correct - if you have a pile of free time, why do you need a bunch of strangers on a message board to tell you how to fill it? Or was the whole point of it to tell strangers, "I have lots of free time"?

Today we have users discussing their feces. We have another wanting to know why no one ever posts after him. We have yet another asking about Gilligan's Island characters. We have a guy boasting about his free time - the same guy who has spent the last year on here talking about problems with his love life - to a bunch of strangers who probably did NOT come to this site to counsel a bored and lonely guy.

This site has a lot of useful information, and occasionally it has interesting discussions. But sadly, the signal to noise ratio is going down. I wouldn't blame the mods for that, either - blame the users.

I'm with Derrek on this one (by the way, my job kicks your job's ass all up and down the peninsula).

If you want something intellectually stimulating post on an intellectually stimulating thread (or start one). If you want something informative do the same.

If you want to shoot the shit about whatever, nothing wrong with that either.

Toby/Downfromabove: you've both been members of this forum for a relatively long time yet have hardly posted. On this momentous occasion that you actually do, neither of you has anything incredibly fascinating or useful to say.
Not everyone wants to discuss intellectual or thought provoking stuff all the time. if you do, post something up.

Firstly I don't care how good your think your job is. Are we competing for the 'Keeping Up With The Jones' award - my job is sooooo much better than yours? You are lucky that you have found a job that is well suited to you. Just because you think it is good doesn't mean that other people will. Your job and relevance to my life? None.

Secondly. It shouldn't matter how many psts you put up on the board. Does it make you special or somehow superior if you post ten times every day? I think not. Quality. Not quantity. If you check one post I put up, it did actually receive over 150 replies and had over 3,500 views. Now. In my opinion, that is something that people WANT to read about.

This board however contains too much waffle and really ISN'T relevant to anyone apart from the origianl poster.

There was one instance where it was questioned how many hits another Korean site is getting and it was also questioned by the same person if people thought that it may have been the site controllers bumping the figures up to make it look better.

DOES IT MATTER ABOUT OTHER SITES?
