The skype in my pc is surplus to requirements. I tried to delete but it wants permission. There is no apparent place, where this permission can be granted.

So now it seems inscribed on the pc. It's like you wanted me and now you got me. Any ideas from the panel?? Thanks.

You can manually remove it by going to "add or remove programs." Go to start menu, then to "control panel," and click on "add or remove programs." It's pretty self-evident from there.

Why don't you need Skype anymore? Did you find something better?

I myself wasn't using it. My son is in London and couldn't do without personal contact with his mother and they connived the thing.

So to answer yr question, he has purchased this ultra cheap cellphone call package, don't know or want to know detail.

Thanks for info, will give it a shot.

Thanks Yoga and Dodgy Al, it's a bingo.

I should have thought of that myself and in fact I used to do it with xp. Now with Vista, it's not so in the face, which doesn't exactly jog the memory..
