I plan on picking up jiu-jitsu again when I move to seoul in august, but I need to get a gi. Should I buy one in the states and bring it over, or can I easily just find one in seoul? |

Cool, are you going to train with Frankl? I will be starting there at the beginning of September. I arrive at the end of August.
FYI, Judo gis are completely acceptable in BJJ. There should be at least a billion of those available in Seoul, since Judo is incredibly popular in Korea. |

Most schools will be able to get you a gi and sometimes it's included in the introductory price. |

Yep, thats the school I've been hearing about so I'm gonna check it out. Are you coming with SMOE as well? |

Depends on what type of gi you're after. If you want a name-brand gi (Koral, Atama etc.) I'd suggest picking one up in the States and bringing it over. These are available in Korea but only online and at 50% markup. If you're fine with a no-name gi you should be able to pick one up here for 35 - 40 bucks. |

This seems about right IMHO. |
