I completed a year in Korea from March 07 to March 08. I am now looking to return, yet the new visa hoops have got me stumped.
Here's the thing. I had an E-2 visa on Australian nationality last year. When all the CPN drama went down I was forced to get an AFP criminal background check, which was clean. At the end of my contract I travelled to the UK and have since acquired British Citizenship (by descent - IE I now have a British Passport).
Fast forward to now. In getting all my documents together - what kind of CRC can I get? Can I get it done (and apostilled) here in the UK - given that a slightly out of date (ie too old to be used in the visa application by about a month) Australian CRC shows I had a clean record up until I went to Korea, I have no record in Korea, and have been in the United Kingdom (and can apply for an E-2 as a UK citizen/passport holder) since leaving Korea at the end of my last contract?
Due to circumstances, time is a factor here, and if I can do the hoop jumping here rather than getting Australain documents sent over, it would be ideal.
Any help on this one?
Thanks guys! |
