|
|
My situation is that I'm going to be doing part time work in the evenings in the near future but I want to supplement my income by working at a Public School part time during the day.
I'm planning on taking my CV (CELTA, 2 years experience) to a number of schools in certain areas and asking if they need a part time native teacher.
I am guessing some will be interested but I'm not sure? Do public schools often employ outside of Gepik/Epik? Has anyone else got a part time arrangement with a PS? |

IF you are F2/4 then it is easy.
IF you are E2, good luck... It can be done but you will have to jump through more hoops than you really want to think about.

I am E2 and will be sponsored by a Private Institute who will give me a letter of permission... What kind of hoops would I be expected to jump through if I have the letter of permission and my working hours are less than 44 per week? |

Bish,
I think you talked to me a while ago and I recommended a recruiter for a Hagwon job to you. Did it work out at all?
Let me know how things went.

I don't have access to the policy book at the moment so I can't give you anything more specific that that.
Pound the pavement (bilingual resume and cover letter) of schools in the area you want to work in.
Get a contract
Go to immigration and fill in the paperwork (may take a couple of visits).
Start your part-time job.

Easy mate. I don't think I'll be doing it but thanks. I'm working on a couple of things at the moment and will hopefully be doing two decent jobs during my next visa term. Thanks man.
