In Monday's Korea Herald there was a full page Hyundai ad stating "A company is just as good as it's people."

Haha, so true, especially in light of the fact that the current Hyundai chairman is a convicted felon who swindled Hyundai corporate shareholders out of millions of dollars.

Did anyone else note the irony of this ad? Was the ad intentional hyocrisy/irony or simply a desperate attempt to put a positive spin (for damage control purposes) on the recent newspaper photos showing the current chairman feeding/changing baby diapers at a local orphanage as part of his felony sentence compliance?

I'm somewhat befuddled.

There is no irony or sarcasm in Korea. Korea is irony and sarcasm free. The ad is being what it thinks is honest.
