I am fielding interest for an item you will very rarely see in Korea. This is for the recording enthusiast. The unit is in pristine condition, has lived in a rack, in a smokeless studio all its life. It is identical to this unit sold recently on Ebay. Yes, It has the Burr-Brown IC's on channels three and four.

750,000 Won. If you want to point out that it's the same price as the refurb on Ebay, then go ahead and buy one on ebay. It would cost at least three times this to buy a preamp of similar quality in a retail outlet in Korea. (No kidding, go look).
There is lots of reviews on this preamp on line if you Google Sytek MPX 4A
This is professional quality and if you are looking for a great Preamp this is by far the best you can find for the money.
I'll send actual pictures of the unit to serious buyers. I'm near Daejeon, but we can work something out for delivery or shipping. You are also welcome to try it out in my home studio.
Trades considered for other high-quality recording equipment and musical instruments.
Wannabees don't be pulling my chain. You too, Spliff.

Hmm.... a couple questions if you will:
1) What sources/mics do you use with it?
2) Have you ever used a ribbon mic with it?
3) Do you think it would represent a significant step up (in gain and noise) from the preamps on my Fireface 800? |

i've never used the Fireface so I can't make a direct comparison.
I used this preamp with a Rode K2000 tube condenser. I have also used it with guitars. It sounds great with just about any signal, giving the high end a lot of sparkle, particulary with drums. Comparing it to the average computer interface pre's, you will also notice a tighter bass and a punchier midrange with a lot more detail throughout the spectrum.
No I have never used it with a ribbon mic.

Happy now? TBH I wasn't going to be able to bear it myself much longer. |
