So its gone 1am and some guy was shouting something at the top of his voice for about five minutes outside in the street. The same word every time, but I can't quite make out the damn word... I thought 위험 but it can't be. Why would someone shout that at this time? What could it be that he is alerting? Gassing?

Oh man, that's been an everynight thing in the center of this litta town I'm in. People are real night owls, talking loudly, laughing, screaming, drinking, and just downright partying on 7 nights a week. They just scream, talk loud, and slam doors in motels till' the wee hours too. I couldn't sleep much here as I just get woken up many times and it's BS, but I won't be staying in a city center motel for long so it's only temporarily stay which is what everyone else here is doing.

Feel bad for you if you have to live the noisy insomniac life year round.

I believe he's selling dduk (rice cakes). I hear it too, anytime between 12am and 2am. Guess it's good if you want a late night snack.

I live over a hof.

It is loud most every night.

Tolerable but loud.

One night was a little too much.

I woke up to a guy crying and pounding on the gate at 3am.

I got a bucket of water from the bath room and poured it out the window on his head.

Needless to say this has not occurred again

You think that's bad? Once, in Montreal, I lived over a bar. Imagine trying to sleep through horrible, loud music? I knew a foreign teacher who lived above a Nore Bang. That must have sucked big time!
