Me? In the year 2056...

What do you wanna be when you're 88?
Me? I'd like to be a retailer of humanoid robots. Cool

In 2037, 19 years before you.

What do I want to be when I'm 88? A tree. I'm planning to be cremated and planted under a nice shady tree. Specifically, some branches on the east side of a tree so I can get that nice morning sunlight and then be in the shade all afternoon.

I smoke like a trooper, have a terrible diet, and the only exercise I get is that I walk a lot. I won't reach 68, never mind 88. Sad

2069. I will be a disembodied consciousness in a machine, or possibly a consciousness transplanted into a plant-like organism. Barring an early, violent death, I will live to see singularity.

2061. Just in time to see the Korea-of-the-future chapters in David Mitchell's 'Cloud Atlas' transform into reality.

That book gave me many sleepless nights.

A prairie fire tree. I planted it on my grave plot the last time I was home. Why do I have a grave plot?, you ask. Because about 30 years ago I went home for Thanksgiving and while the turkey was roasting my mom walked up to me in the kitchen and said, "Guess what! We have a spare grave plot. Here's the deed." Shocked

2063 if I make it that far! I hope I do..

I always wonder what the retirement homes will be like after 2050
I mean these days its all about ball room dancing, bingo listening to old music etc playing cards but with the way technology has exploded in the past 30 years WOW instead of ballroom dancing will be listening to old hiphop and techno? perhaps some light moshing? head banging in the wheel chair? perhaps one of the old timers will have some pills and weed?
everyone rocking it out with their tats and very faded acdc tshirts??
hahhhahahhaa picture it on the old peoples home bbs in 2050
a poster which reads

TONIGHT AT 8pm tequilla slammers and old dance floor anthems from 2000-2010! put your dancing shoes on
hahahahaha

I've got my sights on 2016. Anything beyond that will be a surprise to me I made it that far.
