Any art / craft stores around Seoul similar to Micheal's back in the States?
I've been looking for artist canvases - the pre-built kind already stretched out with a wood frame... I'm also looking for some way to hang my art after it's complete (I've used some metal hooks you push into the wooden frame like a pushpin)... Any and all thoughts are appreciated! |

Go into the University in Hongdae. On the first floor is an art store. Run by students I think, so the prices might be a little less. Check it out. |

The shop I use is Homi Art, it's only about a block away from the main gate of Hongdae. On the same side of the street as the gate, facing away from it, turn left and walk down about 2 minutes. The shop is on your left with a blue and red sign, lots of easels outside. Always had friendly service.

At the Express Bus Terminal Station (orange line 339) follow the signs to exit 7, go up the escalator towards one of the bus terminals. When you see an entrance to Shinsegae Dept. store, head to the opposite end of the building - where you'll find a large Dream Depot with all sorts of arts, crafts, and office supplies. |
