|
|
I am heading to Japan on Monday to get my E2 visa.
1 - What document/photos do I need to bring.
2 - Where in Japan - my school or me have not done this before.
3 - What is the timeline - can I get the first flight on Monday and be at the K embassy before a certain time and what time can I pick up the next day.
Cheers |

-Osaka and Fukuoka are the usual 2. (usually Osaka for those who are flying and Fukuoka for those on the ferry from Busan).
-Specific details are available in the visa run sticky threads in the travel or FAQ forums.
-Usually, for those going to Osaka we needed our passport, visa confirmation number, application form (at the consulate), passport type photo, and money (6000 yen - but may have changed due to currency fluctuations).
-Drop off before 3pm and pick up next day after 2pm.

I don't remember giving them my visa confirmation number. Strange. I was planning on it, but I don't remember writing it on the form. Maybe they already have it. Best to make sure you have it, though. |

It was 6000 Yen for the visa last week. If you want to take a photo in their booth (at Fukuoka), it's 600 Yen. I didn't know I needed a photo and had some at home. Oh well. |
