The cute cards were meant to notify locals of a new telephone number for non-emergency phone calls but instead have become a flashpoint for a clash of cultures. Shopkeepers are refusing to display the offending ad and a Dundee city councilor is calling for an investigation.
"My concern was that it's not welcomed by all communities, with the dog on the cards," said Dundee councilor Mohammed Asif, according to the report.
The Tayside police force said the police puppy, the force�s "newest recruit," was not intended to cause offense.
"His incredible worldwide popularity � he has attracted record visitor numbers to our Web site � led us to believe Rebel could play a starring role in the promotion of our non-emergency number," said a police spokesperson. |
Ya know, its getting a little old........I'm wondering when people willl finally say "enough is enough!"?

Welfare state reform. Tax cuts for working families with more than one child. Less government encouraged multiculturalism. Tightened immigration policies.

| You're aware this is a tempest in a teapot, aren't you? For one thing, it was something in the Daily Mail. That should've been your first clue. For another, it's something happening (supposedly) at just a few private shops. There is no outrage other than the politico interviewed by the aforementioned rag. |

The point is that a number of Muslims complained, their Muslim councillor passed on the complaint and the dhimmi police officer duly apologised when he should have told them to piss off. It is indicative of the PC thinking going on in the UK, and the compete lack of backbone the country now has. |

| NO! Don't let Europe become an Islamic state! Europe is too cool for that. I seen evidence of this to come 10 years ago while in Europe. They're like any humans, they are friendly in need, but hate when rich though proliferate and become extremists. Dam terrorists. Of course, Islam wants to take over and covert Europe and then they terrorize many places such as New York Madrid Bali London and others, because they know they can't hgave their corrupt wrong ways despite the fact they have the freedom of religion and their new mosques are coming about. If America and Europe just get's fat and lazy, then they got what they dream about and seek. To convert and destroy the world. Phuck them... |
