you have more food to eat? fewer single moms? less crime? (according to freakanomics).

Honestly, I go back and forth on the abortion issue, but subject headings such as yours revolt me and turn me towards the pro-choice movement. Good job.

What about the war in Iraq? How many times do we hear about the death of soldiers? Mocking the war efforts and those who have died.

Which one is worse?

The first you have to realize is that, with 50 million dead babies, we are in woefully short supply of dead baby jokes.

Its called an abortion. Its not a killing. You cannot kill something that is not yet alive.

In the first trimester, you have a fetus. It is not a living thing, but an extension of the woman's body. I wonder what the statistical abortion count would be outside of the first trimester.

Although I'm pro choice I would disagree with this. After conception we have a pinhead of tissue. At birth the brain is only about 15% wired and the baby isn't much more than a breathing eating pooing machine. After three years of age you have a basically fully formed personality (research shows that the first three years are critical in development.)

I couldn't sit down and draw a line where before the baby isn't human and after it is. Humanity is accquired slowly both in the womb and after birth. If you're going to draw a line for legal reasons then the first trimester is a good place to do so. If you're going to ban abortion then it's the duty of the state to provide full care to mother and baby. I find it ironic that generally the polictical groups against abortion are also against proper sex ed. I don't see many pro lifers lining up volunteering to look after the unwanted babies any more than pro choicers.

Why don't you ask God? About 1/3 of pregnancies are miscarried by ten weeks before the baby even has a shot at being a fetus. What's he thinking: "I didn't do too good a job of forming this baby in the womb so I'll go ahead and whack the little guy."

If these are so important to you, why don't you mourn them? Or does God get a free pass?

Why is it considered murder when a murderer kills the woman and the child?

do you have an example of where a pregnant woman in her first trimester was murdered and it was considered a double homicide?

Awesome. I'm gonna remember this little tidbit for future discussions with pro-lifers.

Bring on the dead baby jokes!

What's the difference between a trunk full of bowling balls and a trunk full of dead babies?

You can't remove the bowling balls with a pitchfork.

Tasteless, I know.
