Hello,
I am selling my 2007 Daelim Delfino 100cc scooter. I purchased it in Feb 2007 from the original dealer. Currently has just under 12,000km on it. It has been serviced regularly at the Daelim A/S center (until warranty expired) and since then at Ace Motorcycle shop in Sadang (formerly Bangbae)
Very good shape, runs great. Has scratches and scrapes as you may expect from a scooter driven daily but nothing major. Worst that has been done to it was getting knocked over in a parking lot.
If you are not familiar with these...don't let the 100cc fool you. These 2 stroke Delfinos have a pile of torque and are quite fast. I am 250lbs and it does 75-80km/hr without being pushed.
I have all the papers and you can even have my old beat up helmet if you wish.

Few questions, very interested. Since it is 100cc, will I need a driver's license to ride it? Do I need to register it or anything like that. Do I have to have a license plate on the back (have seen some scooters with no tag on the back)? If so, what do I have to do to get that?
I am just looking for something to get to work and back with. Something I can use on the sidewalk. If you think this is not what I need, then please still try and satisfy my curiosity. Thanks a lot. |

You will (legally) need a driver's license (valid car license is ok for 125cc or less), insurance, license plate. Any decent bike mechanic shop can do all the registering and insurance for you, for a fee. |

+1 and actually its a breeze to do by yourself at your local GU office. Registration is less than 10,000w and insurance for a year is about 125,000w (there is an insurance office in the same part of the GU office you regsiter your bike in) its real easy.
As for riding on the sidewalk. AFAIK there is no rule stipulating what can be driven on the sidewalk. I see 50cc scooters all the way up to 250cc road bikes on the sidewalk.
Delfinos are pretty popular with delivery guys who don't have the semi-automatic 'Citi' bike style. They are peppy, dependable, cheap to operate and easy to repair. |

Certain areas in Seoul, especially in Gangnam, have been cracking down on MCs on sidewalks by using cars with cameras in them. Jongno-gu has been setting up bike stops to check drivers licenses, too.

Hopefully it does that for you. An old 1978 2 stroke I had did it for you, I can't image a newer bike without that feature. |

no it mixes it for you. There is an oil basin under the seat...every so often you add some oil to it. Until VERY recently all Daelim scooters (under 125cc) were 2 stroke. I think last year one 50cc 4 stroke was released and this year a 125cc Delfino 4 stroke was released. I assume its the same for Hyosung. The Hondas and some of the Taiwanese bikes are 50cc + 100cc 4 strokes

should have posted this earlier...the scooter was stolen last week near Soongshil University Stn...no word yet from the police  |
