Does any one out there know if there are any notary publics in Seoul? I need to get a document notarized before I send back to states. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

In the USA FedEx-Kinkos has a Notary Public on staff at many locations. Their website allows you to do a search for Korean locations with Notaries. But...when I did the search it just brought up a list of locations in Korea. I'd go visit a store and just ask. There seems to be a reasonable chance they'll have a Notary Public. (Note: I've been to three FedEx stores in Seoul and at every one there was someone who spoke English well.) |

Sinchon station (green line), across the big street from the Hyundae department store. (there area couple of big older buildings and one smaller new one) - it's in the new building, 3rd floor I believe. In Korean it's called 'Gong Jeung' 공증.
Look for '공증' in big red letters.
Expect to pay about 30,000 per document.
If you told us where you were located, I could have perhaps suggested one closer. There are many of these around seoul. Good luck! |

In that case..
There are a few near anyang city hall, but it's a bit harder to give directions...
let me try like this:
http://map.naver.com/?x=126.9613564&y=37.3950356&level=0
Just zoom the map out to see where you are. It's near Anyang city hall/pyeongchon station. Of those two small buildings, it's the one on the right, I believe on the second or third floor. You'll find it.. just look for the 공증 sign. |

If you're an US citizen you can stop by the US Embassy to get your document notorized. $30 or 31.5k Won for their services. Go to Gwanghwamun station, (Line 5), exit 5 I think. |

Also, do western facilities accept a notarization from places like these?
Would a Canadian police station accept a photocopy of my id that is notarized from here? |

They did when I did it, but it was also my mother who took the documents in to them. |
