just checking to see if others, teaching in public schools, are receiving salary statements/receipts/stubs/records...I have yet to see one, though I have requested it...it seems like it would be the norm, especially working for MOE? |

i was able to (eventually) get some at my last ps... however they looked like a 10 year old made them (they looked far from official)
anyways, you'll have to pester your co-teacher if you want them |

If you request it, they must provide it. It is the law. |

you have a lazy co-teacher. Pop into the admin office (next to the principal) and they will print them off for you. |

When I repeatedly pestered the co-teacher for mine I eventually got a piece of paper with my gross monthly salary printed on it and nothing else. Oh, and it had the gross salaries of the other four foreign teachers in my local area. WTF, indeed.
Agree that making friends with someone in the school admin office is the way to go. A lovely lady explained all the salary deductions to me and I can check back with her if I'm confused about what's landed in my bank account. |
