Probably because the future violent perps don't get to watch a lynching on the town square like they used to.

Bush Cheney Chertoff Silverstein Betrayus and a host of others particularly those behind the Palestinian genocide and the Iraqi war - need to stretch a rope - in public - at high noon - with special arrangements made for YouTube video cameras.

And just what is the Christian attitude?

Even a casual reading of Biblical accounts shows God spares no wicked men. You don't have to believe the account, just read them mind you.

God deals harshly with wickedness. And He will deal harshly with evil again, and it looks like that time is nigh.

Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

Matthew 10:34

There exists a mistaken belief that Mr. Jesus was all about lovey dovey tolerance and acceptance, when in fact he condemned, in the harshest terms, the hypocrisy and evil deeds of the religious leaders of his day.

Hence His crucifixion.

The evil doers have no problem using violence against us. Are they not worthy of the same?

Did not the man Jesus say "Judge not lest ye be judged?"

I'm pretty sure it's in the book somewhere.

...and he also said something about loving thy neighbor. And turning the other cheek.

Basic guiding principles of Christianity.

Of course, you know all of this, right?

Let me help:

hypocrite /ˈhɪpəkrɪt/ Pronunciation[hip-uh-krit]
noun
1. a person who pretends to have virtues, moral or religious beliefs, principles, etc., that he or she does not actually possess, esp. a person whose actions belie stated beliefs.
2. a person who feigns some desirable or publicly approved attitude, esp. one whose private life, opinions, or statements belie his or her public statements.

Yeah, yeah, we've all heard those things for years. I could give you verses that say the opposite too, and I gave you one and you completely ignored it.

Jesus said he came to bring a sword, not peace.

In fact, He said, "THINK NOT that I have come to bring peace."

What did he mean?

LMHO, shows how much you know about "the book."

Here's another one in there "somewhere."

But now, whoever has a money belt is to take it along, likewise also a bag, and whoever has no sword is to sell his coat and buy one.

(Luke 22:36 NASB)
