Hi, does anyone know of a good lebanese restaurant in Seoul or Gyeonggido?
I'm hunting for one to take my gf to on her birthday.
Thanks! |

Petra is definitely the way to go. I'm not sure if it's "Lebanese" (I saw a lot of Jordanian memorabilia) but the food is excellent. Average entree is around 12-14k won. Very very good. It's up the hill right over the ped bridge from Noksapyeong. |

Well, it's not strictly Lebanese per se, but Marakech Night (3 locations; two of the restaurants are large, well-appointed with extensive menus; the other [original] is a smaller. light meal place...] is a very good option.
They have all the basic Arab/Lebanese food like felafel, hummus, tabouli (although theirs has less parsley...) and various grilled, skewered meat dishes...they have excellent lamb and chicken dishes, tagines, and Moroccan specialties...These restaurants are at both ends of Itaewon:
One is across from the Itaewon Hotel next to the Cheil Building (2nd Floor); the other is next to the Aussie Shop in the lane across from Ape With Pipe.
Prices are very reasonable, service is good, food is excellent and they have Alley Kat on tap...
Phone (02) 795-9440. (02) 795-5441 or 010-4190-9444 for more info

Petra is run by a Palestinian-Jordanian. Palestinian food is 90% similar to Lebanese food. In the old days, it was all called Syrian food, and it included Palestinian, Lebanese, and Syrian food. Petra would be the closest thing to what you want. It is a bit tricky to find it. If you want details on how to get there, send me a PM.
Good luck... |

I agree with myself. Marakech Night is great. Petra is good, too. Um, would Turkish food be good enough? Go to Salam up by the mosque. Some people like Ali Baba, (near Helios) but I haven't been there for years. |

Do they have dolma at Salam? I miss the crap out of dolma.
Also, I found the falafel at Marrakech Nights to be kind of bland, but everything else was good. I believe they're Morrocan. |

As I understand, grape leaves filled with rice, sometimes ground beef/lamb, with other herbs as well. Usually in some kind of vinegar marinade. Quite tasty.
Wiki sez dolma can include any number of stuffed vegetables, but I've only seen grape leaf dolma in my travels. |
