Right: background about me.
I'm a girl. I live in Seoul. I'm 19 years old in "Korean age" and 2 months shy of being 18 in "normal" age.. which makes me a senior in high school. I plan on becoming a uni student by the end of August though Wink I lived abroad, came back to Korea about 6 years and 10 days ago, and have since attended totally normal, Korean secondary schools. no foreign language high school or international schools of any kind. I'm

I love meeting and talking to people, I'm open about any topic, I can be a bit shy but am good at hiding it after a few initial stutters (no giggling though!).

Sadly, I've only a few (I can count them on my one hand) 외국인 friends I can talk to, and by friends I mean people 6-12 years older than I. Some I've met personally after meeting on the internet, some we still maintain internet or text friendships..

I'd love to go out there and TALK to random people though. But being a student, I don't have access to bars of any kind, which I know is a good place to talk to people to. Also, the schoolgirl thing means that people treat me like one, when I'd like to be able to talk to them about things other than "so, how was school?" "so-so. how do you like Korea so far?"

So.. just a-wonderin', do you find it weird if a random girl comes up to talk to you on the subway, in the bookstore or on the streets? No giggling, to covering mouths, no speaking to "improve my english for college", I swear!

No giggling, no blushing, no making fun of English: No problem. Talk away.

(your friends giggling in the background counts as giggling, though)

oops ignore that unneeded "I'm" at the end of that first paragraph, please. I don't like using the edit button because it's always a bit suspicious to read that "edited by amilin90 at (insert time here)"..
You never know what the author's edited! Razz

Okay. weird might've been the wrong word to use.. Just.. uncomfortable? I dunno.. annoying, even?

no problemo Razz I've got no friends. Well, they're only school friends, who're overstudious and feel that a 2-hour break at the mall is a big waste of time.. I just think differently Very Happy

I'll agree there as well, extremely "annoying".

Hmmm, an almost legal girl in a schoolgirl uniform. If you talk to a guy, most likely, in the back of his mind, he'd most likely want to jump your bones. Unless you're into that kind of thing, I'd stick to talking to chicks.

True dat. All the above plus being aware when you may be bothering the other person. ie. I hate it when my nose is in a book and I am clearly reading it... but the person beside me won't let me enjoy it.

But otherwaise, yeah, talk away... oh, and NO RELIGION! I get enough of that form the people knocking on my door as it is! Razz Cool

Then the OP has gone to the trouble of trolling other boards, too , over several months just to set us up for this one post.

Yes, brilliant.

Frankie, obviously I made the same "background check" as you did. Just an odd habit of mine as I don't believe even half of the stuff that is posted on this forum. Anyway, as far as I can tell, Ms. *** seems to be genuine.

Dear OP, just remember to be careful when/if you meet any foreigners. Even more so if you meet someone through this forum. Better be safe than sorry 'n sore, you know. I suggest that you shouldn't try to approach anyone without being accompanied by a friend. (I know that I sound like your dad, and in theory I could be him... at least age wise.)
