So Day One is over. Four first days this time- crazy! Who do you reckon will win this year?I know with the size of the field it's near impossible to predict and all. Few big names out already including Negreanu.
Was watching a bit of it online ( www.wsop.com), few other sites streaming as well if you search. Saw one Japanese guy go out with quad aces- got beaten by a royal flush! I suppose it's bound to happen with a field of 9000+ but imagine how sick you would feel after paying a 10k buy in.
I'm rooting for Marty Smyth, he took down the Pot limit Omaha main event earlier this week, go on the Irish!! Two in a row^^ |

I'll have to watch that.
As an aside, there is a large Poker tourney in Macau this September. Anyone going? |

I don't agree with it at all. Although it will probably give poker more exposure and probably make it more popular I think it will take away from the momentum that builds over the course of the tournament. Imagine if you're the small stack, basically you'll have to wait half a year to just show up and push all in^^ |
