This isn't an attempt to bash Korea or anything. Anyway I had a 10 minutes break in between classes today so I went out for a smoke nearby the neighbourhood's stores all of a sudden I felt the need to spit, didnt want to spit randomly because there could be students' parents around so I walked to the restaurant's plasic bin opened up the lid as I put my head in; millions of flies just flew up in swamp while I attempted to unload my canon at the same time I could see a half full of rotten meats and wastes while maggots were all over on top it, the smell and the flies were undescrible. |

That wouldn't bother me. EDIT: I was referring to the OP, not nautilus' post which appeared after I posted)
I was eating in a KFC quite a few years back and the mother in the group of seats next to me dropped her little boy's pants right there at the table and had him piss in a cup. The bathroom was a total of 10 feet behind her. I made a motion for her to give me the cup because I had to go to the bathroom, too. All of a sudden it's disgusting to piss at the table where people are eating.
Same KFC, a few weeks after that, a middle school girl hocked a nice loud green gob that landed 4-5 feet from my foot. She wondered why I was so disgusted.
Two strikes, not trying for a third. Have rarely eaten KFC since, but certainly not at that one again.

This was during my first year here.
I was walking home from a late dinner with my coworkers. As I walked down the stairs of the crosswalk I usually take, I saw a man leaning up against a pillar. At first I thought he was having a smoke/talking on his cell phone.
Nope.
His pants were down by his ankles and he was taking a dump. Essentially out in plain sight, taking a shit.
I kind of stopped and stared at his face for a second, he looked at me, and (and I kid you not) pulled up his pants (in mid dump, mind you) and ran off.
That to me is the grossest thing I've seen. |

I was walking through a market in Buan when I noticed a guy with all types of cages. I go and check it out and it's cages of kittens and dogs. Some of the cages are so full that the animals have to walk on each other to get around and some of the animals were dead and rotting.
I started yelling and pointing at the dead animals, but the owner just ignored me and walked away. |

Wedding hall toilets for some reason are fairly rotten. It must be some country boy who doesn't know how to use a western toilet and just stands on the bowl and squats. This results in projectile dihorea pebble-dashing the back of the seat. I don't expect much from the local pc bang but these are supposed to be the cities top hotels.
Since seeing this is rare I would have to simply go with the spitting as that is daily nuisance that irks me. |

The outhouse in the Hyewha hills. Shyte was pyramiding out of the squatter. And there where shyte footprints everywhere in there. Lots of flies too. Nastyness. Here's another:
I used to teach at a vocational track boys high school four years ago and this student (who was one of the most ill-mannered and obnoxious boys) came in reeking like cigarettes. Mind you he was just a 14 year old boy. After putting up with almost an hour of his antics, I approached his desk area in the back and unbeknowest to me, he had a huge spit moat surrounding the floor around his desk (he had to have horked about 500 times; we are talking a HUGE quantity of spit--perhaps in the liters category). When I stepped on it that was enough for me to lose it.
His punishment was to mop my classroom every day for a week. |

Down by the Han River a motorcyclist(no helmet) pulled out in front of a speeding SUV and was lauched into the cement posts. Head was split like a melon and the guy was twitching. I'm talking the brain was visible. There was a football game on and the players left the pitch to watch. The driver threw the dude into the back of the ride and left.
The footballers went back to their game and I was thinking, "what the F". So I reported it to the police station. Poor cops. Imagine the discomfort of carrying out your sworn duty. |

Wonder if he went to hospital or simply a convenient bridge? Seriously, if you ride without a helmet, you're taking your chances. |

Awesome thread, keep em coming!
(Racking my brain for a disgusting story...brain has blocked out for my own protection...)
I remember a student telling me his drunk dad shit his pants at a Sunday afternoon picnic for work families. The kid was in grade 4 and was openly sharing this little nugget. Think his dad was a doctor.
what have I seen...
boss coming out of the toilet after taking a dump, saying hi, and walking out without washing his hands.
a dogs head on a table on a sidestreet, bared fangs grotesquely showing. yummy!
a woman having her kid take a dump under a tree beside a busy restaurant she was waiting to get into, in full view of all, literally 5 paces from the entrance to the building and the washroom.
hmmm, not too bad. korea sparkling! |
