Can you tell that a Korean wrote them? Rolling Eyes

BTW, #31 is a mystery to me. What does it mean? All I can think of is "The Exorcist."

31) When you drink alcohol with seniors or elder persons, you'd better turn your head around.

Those are hilarious. Especially about "punctuality" and being asked to drink excessively and of course the whole lesbian thing. My favorite are about the rare "excuse me's" after getting bumped.

Hehe.. turn your head around.. Laughing
It meant turn your face the other way, don't face them elders whilst drinking. usually you hold the glass with both hands, especially in the case of soju..

It's obvious Korean English (I just graded 10 essays from my Uni immersion class, ugh.).

However, the tips are pretty basic and the typical stuff that causes cultural rifts, so I thought they were generally perceptive.

#12: Korean men like going to a public bath (spa/sauna) together for anal pleasure.

Other words, most Koreans are racist.

Wow! I just love the way they listed all the stupidities of Koreans so bluntly on a government website.

#14 Koreans are against America politically, not socially.

Interesting, but I'd say 55 years of needing and asking for big brother to protect them would seem to indicate that they have chosen to support America's geo-political policy as it relates to South Korea.

As a nation, South Korea is all talk. The first sign of American forces leaving Korea would probably signal thousands of South Koreans going on an extended vacation out of the country.

What a bunch of ungrateful twats.

How freagin funny! To the MODS, I nominate this to be a STICKY since it's

a government website and all.

I like #4. The dog meat industry is completely unregulated, but where are the candle light vigils?

#34 Prepare for periodic changes in climate. Unlike all other countries, Korea has four distinct seasons.
#35 If you are attacked, assaulted, abused, robbed, pushed, beaten, burned alive in a prison cell, denied medical care in emergency situations or feel discriminated against, do not take offense. It is simply a cultural misunderstanding.

One dubious one is the second clause of 30. Are South Koreans generally more tolerant than, say, Swedes? Hmmm....

13. You may be bothered by children and youngsters who want to speak to foreigners, now and then with bad words which are not intended badly.

So the bad words are actually meant well.
What about the good words then? Is that opposite meaning too?

Yeah, some are good, but -- kids and bad language, rude to Blacks and South-east Asians, no politeness if bumped on the street, and forced to drink too much/kiss ass with older people -- those sections are just brutal.
