It looks good, but I think it's also important to integrate photos of the school and classrooms into the recruiting process. You might have an image in your head of the environment you want to work in and then sign up and realize when you get there that it sucks.

After all, the schools request a photo, why shouldn't we?

I don't agree with the OP when he says the part about "there's nothing wrong with the site visually that $50 can't fix."

A true businessman would pay the $50 and then sell the site with it's proper layout.

Ever seen a car dealership selling their cars coated in mud, and then saying "it's nothing a $5 car wash won't fix up?"

Just my 2 cents on how you can earn more money; at the very least you should earn back the $50 you spent fixing it up, and probably sell it faster.

Cheers

No big deal. It's a public forum and you're entitled to your opinion. However if you'd like to comment on something then you can't complain when someone questions your judgement - or indeed your background.

Actually I can complain. You suggest I look at anime porn? Who in the living fark do you think you are? I'm a 'loser'?. You call this 'questioning my background?'.

If your site is actually a site why didn't you respond to the goodnatured jibes which you know go on on Dave's, since you were on here for a year. Instead of having a princess hissy fit after your post was up what, a month?

Then coming back, spraying troll spray around, and calling the perpetrators perverted losers.

Nobody's out to get you. Relax. No need for name calling. No need to get nasty.

Carry on.

According to the site, a "Japan holiday" runs about 30,000 won. In that case, I'll take two of those!

$50 could fix it, but dbee can't.

Good luck with your sale and massive profits. You sure deserve it...couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

Fair enough, I apologize to you Captain Kirk (and probably ItaewonGuy).

That was my first ever website and I ended up putting alot of work into the thing (mostly into the backend). I'm also a feeling a bit sentimental about parting with it. So I guess I overreacted when people started slagging it off ...

That and the fact that this thread has had over 1300views, so it's very likely that your (misinformed) comments actually cost me money or persuaded someone from putting in a bid. This thread was then taken up by the 'charming people' over at expat which made things worse.

There's a fairly small target demographic for selling a site such as this one, and your comments probably eliminated about 80% of it .... Sad At the end of the day, I'm just trying to make ends meet with this web thing. And it can be tough going at times ...

I flipped. And I made some hurtful accusations. I'm not afraid to apologize afterwards Sad

I remain under the opinion though, that spliff is a full-time, unrepentant troll ... Wink

As for the $50. Like I said, I liked the site the way it was and i was of the opinion that people responded positively to the design. If someone else had an issue with the site visually though, then $50 would a long way towards fixing it up ...

That's 30,000 / month dude. Meaning that if you saved 30,000 from your monthly budget over 12 months, you'd have 360,000Won which would buy you a holiday in Japan. That's probably not very clear. But it's someone else's problem now ... Smile

Touche. Dbee isn't much of a designer unfortunately. Demophobe is one of the posters on here who really knows his stuff. So I'd advise anyone out there to take his advice on tech stuff seriously Wink

Cheers guys and all the best with everything ... Smile

You seem like a nice guy, but I'm sorry--you cannot afford a holiday in Japan for that amount! That would get you airfare (or if you wanted to take the scenic route via train / bus and ferry), and maybe pay for a couple of meals.

Not trying to bust your balls or anything, but the website should really try to provide more accurate information.

Thanks. The tool is over 3 yrs old at this stage. At the time, you could get 3days/2 night package to fukuoka for 199,000 if memory serves me correctly. Add to that the money that you'd have spent in Korea anyway over 2/3 vacation days ( probably at least 100,000 ) and it'd have left you with about 260,000 spending money.

If you were frugal, you could buy another night, or go to another destination. I never updated the tool after i left korea. It's someone else's responsibility now, but I'll pass along your concerns Wink

Wow. Good work dude. I think you'll find there's more to an online business than just a domain name ...

Anyway cheers all ...
