1.05oz $6.45
.82oz (no trimming necessary) $5.00
1.10oz $7.00 or so
That's an average. Good looking steaks today, maybe because of the holiday. The big daddies were gone, thank God I got mine before hand.
Ribeyes were a little more but not much. |

Sorry,
I'm not in Korea yet but if those are USA ounces and USA dollars you are using then those steaks average 100 USA dollars each!
Please tell me that I'm wrong.
Please.

Meat is very expensive in Korea, but I wouldn't think it's that expensive like the OP states. He might mean pounds. Beef usually goes for $10 on up to $28 a pound; sometimes less at a Homeplus store, but Expensive Emart is more prevalent while you might have to travel further to get to Homeplus as they have far fewer stores. It's $27 per pound at my local small grocery store and as cheap as $6 a pound sometimes at Emart or Homeplus for Australian beef.
The expensive beef is Korean grown beef, but I prefer the Australian quality and price. Small towns and small stores will only have Korean and it commands outrageous artificially high prices. Emart is still better than small stores for bargains and selection, but doesn't compare to Homeplus. |

I should have typed it a little clearer. It's about 7 bucks US for a good T-bone running around 20oz or so. Give or take. 1lb 5oz is about 7 bucks. |
