| Michael Breen gets published a lot in the Korea Times |
I don't recall any of his articles. When was the last time he was published? |
I wish I could say I am surprised someone from Korea's ESL community knows who Steve whatever his name is but doesn't know who Michael Breen is but I am not surprised at all to be honest.
Maybe if you all tried to open your minds a bit to see that you are a part of a bigger community while in Korea (yes...you are a part of the general community during your time in Korea whether you choose to believe it or not) people like Steve would seem as trivial as they really are.
To answer your question, his last article appeared in the Korea Times two days ago. Something tells me he holds a bit more clout with the average Korean than Steve what's his name. Also, a hell of a lot more entertaining of a writer.

Join Me,
The only reason this thread is 6 pages is because of you . |
Yeh, and the only reason it isn't 6 pages of little bitches like you crying about big, bad Steve is because of me. |
Actually, I posted on this thread once. How many times have you posted on it you phucking loser? |
and like I said you can thank me for that. |

| So what? Michael Breen gets published a lot in the Korea Times and wrote a popular book about Koreans. Does he represent all expats in Korea? Really, you should all attend a self esteem development class together instead of wasting valuable time verbally assaulting this poor man. |
You should attend a self esteem development class instead of wasting your valuable time verbally assaulting Dave's users. Geez.
Ummmm. I'm not sure if you understood what I said. No ESL teacher would think anyone who publishes in the Korean media as a spokesperson for them. However, what we think hardly matters. It is what the Korean readers think. Recent history may have escaped you because you were too busy doing Really Important Stuff (tm), but Koreans tend to make policy on the spot based on the actions of individuals and then apply it to all E2 visa holders.
Poor man? Train wreck, yes. But poor man? He made his bed. He can't see a 29 year old filipina bar girl snuggling up to a 49 year old man might not be entirely based on true love and she might be seeing him as a meal ticket?
He posted his article on Dave's obviously for critical comment. He got it.
What part of any of this escapes you? |

Read what I wrote again. I said I don't recall any of his ARTICLES. Even if it was two days ago, as you say, I wouldn't know. I haven't read the KT or KH in over a two years.
Nowhere did I say I don't know who he is. I read his book for Christs sake. |

Maybe you should try to read something different for a change. It might help you get back in touch with reality. |

Steve, if you post your drivel on Dave's, it's going to be critiqued. If you come on as a sock to defend your work, it's going to be obvious.
Sorry everyone is calling you an old foolish idiot with delusions of grandeur but you might want to take a hard look at what you wrote and realize you offer no wisdom. |

Again, the obsession with "Steve." Why? Someone challenges you and suddenly you are linking it back to "Steve." Who is exactly having "delusions?" Dude, what is your obsession with this man? When you look into the toilet to check your poo do you see "Steve" there too? |

Stevie-boy relax!! You pretend to offer wisdom in your 'article' when you're secretly looking for some advice; and you got it. It's ok, one day you too will be a man...

No, I am being serious now. The whole "Stevie" boy band groupies on this website are like a cult. |

What do you know of what I read? The Koreans papers are rags and have nothing to do with reality. I get my news from the outside. |

| Steve, get a life. She emailed you trying to find a compromise. You didn't get your way (forcing her to go to montreal and leave HER family) and you blew up. Ummm. You were the one who warned us ESL teachers not to force our colonial ideas blah blah on our students. You get one poor young waitress in a third world nation to BJ you and suddenly you start trying to dictate what she should be doing. Geez. |
